Organoleptic Notes
Garnet red colour with aromas of blackberry, bilberry and black currant accented by vanilla, tobacco, chocolate, caramel, cinnamon and nutmeg; soft tannins, good structure and elegance well balanced with the alcohol.
Winemaking
Vinification
Gently destemmed and crushed; fermentation in steel at 10–18°C with a four‑week maceration and daily remontage; malolactic fermentation in spring
Aging
Aged in steel until April, then 12 months in 500‑L French tonneaux and four years in 2,000–2,500‑L Slavonian oak casks, followed by 12 months in bottle

Estate vineyards in Figari (Marano di Valpolicella), 230–275 m altitude, west exposure
Soil Composition
Calcareous soils of marine sediment, not very deep and of average fertility

Guyot (4,000–4,500 vines/ha)
