Organoleptic Notes
On the nose, it is intense and complex, with notes of cherry, wild berries, violet, tobacco, spice, and hints of licorice. On the palate, it is fresh yet structured, with soft, well-integrated tannins, concentrated dark fruit, and a long, persistent finish.
Winemaking
Vinification
Traditional tumultuous fermentation at 25–30 °C with numerous délestages to maximise colour extraction, followed by malolactic fermentation
Aging
Matured in French and American oak barriques for about one year, then refined six months in bottle

La Volpaia and La Leccia vineyards at about 400 m altitude on low‑fertility, alkaline soil rich in carbonates
