Grapes macerate for several weeks at controlled temperature with regular pumping over and cap punching down; malolactic fermentation occurs in spring
Aging
Aged in French oak tonneaux for about 24 months and further refined in bottle for at least another 12 months before release

Highest area of the Grumello subzone called Dossi Salati in the municipalities of Sondrio and Montagna, south‑facing at 500–650 m above sea level
