In Rosciano at Villa Oliveti, Marramiero took root on the Tratturo Estate, a farmhouse facing an ancient path where flocks once passed, and it was here that Dante Marramiero, later joined by Enrico Marramiero, turned everyday vine growing into a craft meant for the wider world. Between olive groves, vineyards, and holm oaks, their estates stretch from Contrada Sant’Andrea to Ofena, where the air shifts between mountain and sea and Gran Sasso rises like the Sleeping Beauty above rows that glow red at sunset. Their philosophy is simple and demanding: honour tradition while embracing innovation, respect people and the land, and keep the environment pristine so that each wine begins with daily, inherited gestures strengthened by constant research and training. In the cellar, tradition meets modern precision through fermentations in barriques, stainless tanks, and Ganimede fermenters, temperature-controlled ageing, and rigorous berry sorting with the XTRI optical selector using fluorescence and infrared to remove impurities. Even in the vineyards, the same care shows itself in choices shaped by place, from sun and wind that protect healthy fruit to a commitment to renewable energy that makes respect visible and quality unmistakable.
