Montenero's vineyards grow in the Montecucco denomination, at the bottom of Amiata Mountain, a dormant volcano, whose soil is rich of grants limestones, galestro. While the majority of the grapes belongs to the Sangiovese variety, the founder Stefano Brunetto and his team, are re-discovering also Merlot and Ciliegiolo, two authoctones grapes of Montecucco. |
