Provenance: Calaturi, Valle dell'Ofanto

Soil: Volcanic ash lapilli and chalk clays.

Harvesting period: Third decade of October.
Vinification: In stainless steel tanks with daily pumping over and a long maceration of the skins. Refining in Slovanian barrels oak of 50hl for 24 months and further 24 months in bottles.
Characteristics: It has a ruby color that leans towards garnet and a clean and intense aroma with notes of red prune and rose followed by scents of dark fruit and a touch of eucalyptus and spice. The mouthfeel is intense with a pronounced attack while nicely elegant tannins uphold without hindering the flavor’s progression. The finish is tasty and intense. (Riccardo Viscardi from Doctor Wine)
